Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 31, 2026
This policy explains what superserious collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers this website (superserious.com) and the superserious apps. We've written it in plain language. The short version: we use your information to run superserious and make it better for you — we don't sell it.
Who we are
superserious builds community apps for creators and an app for early-stage entrepreneurs, built around the Lunch Break Millionaire curriculum and the in-app TACO coach. When this policy says "we" or "us," it means superserious.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, phone number, and the profile details you choose to add. We use a secure identity provider (Amazon Cognito) to manage sign-in.
- Content you create or save — articles, saved links and notes, journal entries, drafts, photos, and videos you make or upload in the app.
- Usage and analytics — how you use the app (screens viewed, features used, sessions) so we can understand what's working and improve it.
- Device and notifications — basic device information and a push-notification token, so we can send the alerts you've opted into.
- Connected social accounts — if you choose to connect a third-party account (for example TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube), we receive and store the access credentials and the specific permissions you grant, so we can publish or schedule content on your behalf when you ask us to. See "Connected accounts and platform data" below.
How we use your information
- To provide superserious — your account, your content, the community, coaching, and scheduling features.
- To personalize your experience, including AI-powered features like the TACO coach and Muse content suggestions.
- To publish or schedule the content you direct us to, to the destinations you choose.
- To understand and improve how superserious works.
- To communicate with you about the service and respond when you reach out.
- To keep superserious secure and to comply with the law.
AI processing
Some features use artificial intelligence to be helpful — for example, summarizing a link you saved, powering the TACO coach, or drafting content ideas in Muse. To do this, the relevant content may be processed by trusted AI services (such as Amazon Bedrock) acting on our behalf. We don't use your content to train third-party models for their own purposes.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited ways:
- Service providers who help us run superserious under contract — for example cloud hosting and storage (Amazon Web Services), AI processing (Amazon Bedrock), email delivery, and push notifications.
- Social platforms you connect — only when you direct us to publish or schedule content to them, and only what's needed to do that.
- Legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and superserious.
Connected accounts and platform data
When you connect a third-party account, you grant superserious permission to take specific actions for you — typically publishing or scheduling videos to your profile. We use that access only to perform the actions you set up. We do not use connected-account data for advertising, and we never sell it. You can disconnect any account at any time from within the app, which revokes our access going forward; you can also revoke access directly from the platform's own settings.
superserious's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Likewise, our use of data from Meta (Instagram) and TikTok platforms is limited to providing and improving the features you've connected, in line with each platform's developer terms.
Data security
We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards. Sensitive items like connected-account access tokens are encrypted at rest. No system is perfect, but we work hard to keep your data safe, and we limit who can access it.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide superserious. You can delete your content or your account from within the app, or ask us to delete your information by emailing hello@superserious.com. When you delete your account, we remove or de-identify your personal information, except where we need to keep some of it to meet legal obligations.
Children
superserious is intended for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Your choices and rights
You can access and update your profile, control your notifications, disconnect linked accounts, and request access to or deletion of your information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws — we honor those rights. To make a request, email hello@superserious.com.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top and let you know. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
